At the heart of Godawaya Holding (Private) Limited is a vision to harness Sri Lanka's mineral potential responsibly. This vision was conceived in 2022 by three distinguished figures in the mineral sciences and mining industry: Professor C.B. Dissnayake (deceased), Professor Nalin Rathnayaka and Engineer Janaka Dharmabandu.

Inspired by a shared commitment to sustainable development, these three professionals envisioned an entity that would not only explore and develop Sri Lanka's mineral resources but also serve as a steward for the environmental enhancement and a catalyst for regional growth. Their collective expertise and aspiration laid the foundation for Godawaya Holding's mission to discovering Sri Lanka's mineral resources using leading edge technology and responsibly developing them. Their aspiration is the business concept that powers Godawaya’s purpose & vision.
